Karobaar Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Chotu AI platform ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our WhatsApp-based automation service and Tally integration.

By using Chotu AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This policy adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and WhatsApp Business API policies.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Your business name, phone number (WhatsApp ID), email address, and GST details provided during onboarding.
• Accounting Data: To provide our core service, we sync specific read-only data from your Tally/ERP software, including Ledger Balances, Stock Items, Inventory levels, and Invoice history. This data stays locally encrypted where possible.
• WhatsApp Messages: We process messages sent to your business number to automate replies, take orders, and manage collections.
• Usage Data: Logs of when you access the service, message volume, and interaction history for debugging and billing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to provide the Chotu AI service:

• Service Delivery: To generate automated replies, create orders in your ERP, and send payment reminders.
• Meta Compliance: To send messages via the WhatsApp Business API on your behalf.
• Improvement: To train our AI models (anonymized) to better understand business queries in Indian languages.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp): As our messaging infrastructure provider. Message content is processed by Meta to deliver it to your customers.
• Cloud Infrastructure Providers: (e.g., AWS/Google Cloud) to host our secure servers.
• Legal Obligations: If required by Indian law or valid legal process.

4. WhatsApp Business API Specifics

We process "Platform Data" (data received from Meta) strictly in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms. We do not use this data for surveillance or sell it to data brokers.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only as long as your account is active. You have the right to request the deletion of your data at any time.

To Request Data Deletion: Email us at utsav@meetchotu.com. We will verify your identity and delete your data from our servers within 30 days.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256) for data at rest and TLS 1.2+ for data in transit. Your Tally data is processed through a secure tunnel and is strictly access-controlled.
